Overland Vehicle Systems Awnings

In 2020 Gamiviti is excited to have also teamed up with Overland Vehicle Systems. These guys take awnings to the next level, offering some advantages not found on our other awning product lines. Additional features include…

  • Upgraded hinges, substantially stronger and ability to support the awning without the use of poles (recommended for setup/takedown only).

  • Flip-down poles, integrated with support arms. Provide quick additional support in more windy conditions.

  • Hinges on both sides of the extrusion- provides even more coverage area on the side of the vehicle.

  • Coated awning fabric- even better shade, and notably cooler under the awning compared to the others.

  • Multiple sidewalls to create more of an enclosure.

Other, smaller sizes are available, including the smaller 270 LT and Nomadic 180. The Nomadic 270 is the largest awning available from OVS, available in both driver and passenger sides. Awnings come with angle brackets for mounting, also compatible with Gamiviti’s rack receiver system (3 required) for quick-release mounting. Rigid aluminum extrusions are attached to steel hinges, providing a fairly robust support to the awning without poles during setup and in calm conditions, and integrated poles allow for quick deployment of the support poles for all other times.

Available with rigid angle brackets for more permanent installations, also available without brackets if you are pairing with the Gamiviti rack receivers for a quick-release solution. And remember, awnings ship for free with your roof rack package.

Awning Side Walls

For the OVS awnings, 3 different side walls are available. And they are different sizes, so they are not interchangable where they attach to the awning. There are also specific sidewalls for left and right-hand sided awnings, and different sidewalls for the larger Nomadic, smaller LT, and 180 awnings. We can get all of this for you, but will focus content here on the US driver side, larger Nomadic 270, as pictured above.

  • Wall 1 is the largest, and starts at the front of the vehicle.

  • Wall 2 is in the middle of the 3 walls, positioned near the rear hatch/tailgate of the vehicle.

  • Wall 3 is the smallest, and is positioned on the opposite wall of the awning.

You can also bundle the awning and all 3 of the sidewalls, available with the OVS angle brackets, or the optional Gamiviti rack receivers.
