Traction Ramp Brackets
Another new product in 2020, Gamiviti is pleased to release its own bracket for mounting traction/recovery ramps to your roof rack. These brackets are compatible with just about every traction ramp out there, including Maxtrax and ActionTrax. And they are compatible with just about every roof rack out there also, including all of the extrusion racks, tray racks, and welded tube racks like Gamiviti. Simple and universal, these enable you to bolt your traction ramps to your rack in a variety of ways.
Made in the USA, from 11ga steel, these custom laser cut and bent brackets are more than tough enough to hold your recovery tracks to your rack or cross bars. Contoured round cutouts on the sides provide for multiple height options when mounted to the side of round tube racks, and the height is just right to attach one directly to the rack plate of your Gamiviti rack. Tube clamps allow you to mount these just about anywhere- either on the side of your rack, or across one of the cross bars. For extrusions and bolt-together extrusion ramps, these can be bolted to the sides of your cross bars using supplied extrusion hardware, or to the tops of your cross bars using our extrusion adapter plates, sold separately.
Compatible with the Maxtrax pin mounts (sold separately) if you wish to run their quick-release pin set with 2 or 4 of their Maxtrax recovery tracks. You can also use bolts through the brackets to hold the tracks in place, with a strap or bungee to secure them, for a lower cost DIY approach.
And a third option is to add riv nuts to the bracket, then secure the traction ramps with threaded knobs. As an added bonus, if you purchase the threaded knobs along with the traction ramp brackets, we’ll install the riv nuts for you for free!
For round tube racks, like Gamiviti, ARB, or even Yakima, select the tube clamp option below to also receive a pair of tube clamps with your purchase. And if adding the threaded knobs, specify the 30mm to run 2 ramps, or 70mm for 4 ramps. And for our cross bars or your 1x2 extrusion rack, select one of the options with extrusion hardware.

2 ramp brackets with tube clamps. Comes with 2 tube clamps, all of the bolts washers and nuts, 2 plastic bushings. The mounting holes are open, so you supply your own Pin Mounts.

Here is how to gain more advantage by replacing the bolts or pins with twist-knobs. This allows you to retain a low profile rack when the traction ramps are removed, useful when you want to haul other items on your rack and don’t want those pins sticking up in your way.
