There are a few different ways to mount these Day Tanks to your vehicle, including truck bed rail mounts, bed mounts, and bar mounts. The mounting that we have chosen to focus on are the solutions we have found to be the most practical for our rigs and uses, specifically the receiver hitch mount and roof rack mount.
The hitch mount kit is the one we consider to be a “must have,” to go along with your Day Tank. The kit comes with the necessary adapter plate that is needed for any mounting solution, as well as a light duty receiver accessory mount and hitch pin. You can mount your day tank to your truck’s receiver hitch for easy access trails and paved adventures, mount to your swing-out bumper if you have one with a receiver hitch, or mount to your spare tire when combined with the Gamiviti spare tire receiver hitch, which fits all Toyota vehicles.
The Gamiviti roof rack bracket is the most universal mounting solution for the Waterport Day Tank available. The bracket is designed to mate up with all t-slot aluminum extrusions, and can be paired with u-bolts or Gamiviti tube clamps to mount directly to any round bar. It also requires the adapter plate, which is included with the hitch mount kit.
