Racks for your 60 Series Land Cruiser

60 racks are 2” wider and about 6” longer than the 80 series rack, which is a better fit for the larger roof size of the FJ60/62. We have also developed three options for the Expo bar, to give you even more styling options that we feel fits the 60 series well. These are tapered out (standard), tapered back, and straight up. Will show you those differences in the images below.

On the 60 series you’ve got the option of running your rack either up or down, even making a rack you can flip occasionally to suit your next outing. Running the Expo bars up means easier loose gear containment and great looks, a more traditional rack setup.  It also means a higher vehicle height.

When run down, the front Expo bar serves to support the wind fairing, and on Expo racks side cutouts are added to the  Expo bar to allow fitment and access for the front and/or middle towers.    The gallery below should give you a good idea of what is available for custom configurations.

As you can see in the gallery above, on the 60 series you have multiple options for configuring your rack, choose to run either 3 or 4 towers per side, a simple flat rack to a full Expo basket all the way around, with many stops in between. We can add grid floors to some or all of the rack, provide sunroof openings with removable covers, even bolt-on options lie plastic grid panels and accessory mounts.

Two ways to order

We have simplified the selection process into two main paths; the Essential Expo rack and custom racks. See the descriptions below then choose the path that best suits your needs!

Essential Expo Racks for the 60 series

New for 2021, we’ve made all of the tough decisions for you and narrowed this down to the 1 version which has become the most useful, most popular, and great looking configuration for the 60 series. This is a great selection if you would rather not take the time to learn all of the various options, and instead trust our judgement on options to give you all that you need, and none that you don’t, in other words just the essentials. Additionally we are now stocking these racks, so the configurations below are either already in stock, or they’re in process, making them also the fastest rack option.

The Essential Expo rack for the 60 series is a full length flat rack, with the short Expo bar added in front, sloped back across the front and straight up on the sides. It comes with 4 mounting plates per side, and 4 of our 30/60 rain gutter towers, and all of the hardware to connect them, also includes a super slim snap-on fairing.

Additionally we are now stocking these racks, so the configuration below may already be in stock, or they’re in process, making it also the fastest rack option. Just click the Add to Cart button to get started.

What is included with your 60 series Essential rack?

  • 4 plates and towers per side, all hardware, powder coating, super slim snap-on fairing, and a full length rack custom to the 60 series.

  • Expo bar, raised in front. Sloped back across the front for improved wind deflection, side gussets for an additional attachment point.

  • Free installation assistance in Denver, Colorado for customers able to get here.

What is not included with your 60 series Essential rack?

  • Shipping. After you order, a quote & drawing will be sent to you with crating and shipping costs added. Figure ~$300, but options exist for residential delivery, business delivery, and freight terminal pickup. The crate is big- 95” x 60” x 8”, weighs about 170 pounds.

  • Additional accessories like rack receivers, traction ramp brackets, reverse lights, awnings, grid panels, tube clamps, etc. But all of this can be added to your order, just reply once you receive your quote & drawing.

Can I make changes to the Essential rack?

  • Yes. We can still modify these to add/remove plates and towers, add welded grid flooring, some other Expo bar configuration, etc. But now you’re essentially getting a custom rack… which is fine, you just jumped in line a bit by placing your order right away. Which brings us to the second way to order a 60 series rack…

Custom racks for the 60 series

By now you’ve seen a number of configurations, and have taken a deeper dive into many of the options we’ve developed for the 60 series Land Cruiser, both here and on the roof racks page. So you’re ready to configure your rack to have just the right amount of towers, light tabs, gussets, grid flooring, and front, side, and rear Expo bars. Or maybe you’ve got a high roof HJ61 and need us to swap out the towers for the extended height version. To make it happen, simply send us an email, and tell us what you have in mind. You can reference any of the pictures above, in the gallery, or anything found elsewhere on this site, on Instagram, or anywhere else online if you found an image of one of our racks. We’ll write back with quote and drawing that itemizes everything, making sure we dial this in just how you like, making as many changes as necessary to get you the setup you want. Once we have it just right, then to get started you can place any amount down as a deposit, using this pay now button:

Once your deposit is received you’ll be placed on the schedule, your most current drawing gets released to production, and you’ll be contacted when your rack is complete to confirm shipping, installation, and settle up on the balance.
